Privacy Policy

 

At Wootini, we respect your privacy and right to anonymity. We like being anonymous too! Here’s how we make sure that happens:

 

o       When navigating our site, we do not collect any information from you unless you purchase items and check out. Your name, address, phone number and/or email are collected at check out, so that we may contact you in the case that there are questions regarding your order with us. We do not share this information with any third parties, unless we are required to by law. Only certain designated staff have access to your personal information, and it’s only used to ensure that we provide the best service to get your order to you as soon as possible. Though we can’t vouch for other sites that you can link to from Wootini, we can guarantee that we respect you and your right to privacy.

 

o       Any non-essential information that you provide to us (like age, gender, annual income) is used for general demographic tracking. We like to know the type of person that visits our site and what items they like, without knowing specifically who they are. We use this generic information to bring more of what everyone visiting wants to see in our store and to improve client satisfaction. It also helps us to understand if there are any other generic groups of people we still need to get the word out to through our advertising and promotion. If you choose to provide this information, it is not tied to any information that could identify you. We thank those of you that choose to share for keeping Wootini informed about how to best serve and reach out to our clientele.

 

o       We do not use cookies to track your personal or financial information. This means that every time you visit Wootini, it’s like your first time here. Your credit card information is not stored on our site. Your name and contact information are not stored here either. It means a little bit more typing for you each time you shop, but you receive a whole lot of privacy in return. When you do check out with us, your shipping, billing, payment and cart content information are protected using SSL (Secure Socket Layers), which encrypts all of that information as it’s being sent from your computer to our servers. If, for any reason, you feel that your link with us is not secure, please call us on 919.933.6061 to place your order, and we’ll be happy to take it right over the phone.

 

We only put you on our mailing and/or newsletter lists if you request it (you need to go to our mailing list/newsletter section and sign up). We will not pull your email address from your contact information and put you on our list. We will not sign you up for any spam. If you have signed up with us, and wish to be removed from our mailing and/or newsletter lists, please write to store@wootini.com and type “remove [‘mailing’ and/or ‘newsletter’]”. You can also contact us here if you need to update your contact information. Type “update [‘mailing’ and/or ‘newsletter’]” and we’ll take care of that for you, too.

 

Payment and Shipping Policy

 

And now the best part - how to get your purchases to your door!  We offer many payment and shipping choices to our domestic and international clients.  Please see below for details.  If you have any special requests for shipping, please enter them into the “Comments” section at checkout.  After you check out, you will receive a confirmation email that will include your order number – please reference that number in any correspondence with us regarding your purchases.  We will send out your package within one business day of receiving payment verification.  If there is any reason that your order cannot be sent within this time, we will contact you immediately.

 

Domestic

 

  • Payment - Since you are living in the United States or one of its territories, you have the following options for payment: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Paypal or Money Order.  For all credit cards, please enter the number and expiration date.  For Paypal, please click on the icon and proceed to your account.  You will be paying sales@wootini.com. For money orders, please make them out to Wootini and send them to 1818 Airport Road #350, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.  Because of the limited nature of our artists’ works, we can only hold the items from your purchase for two weeks.  If we do not receive the money order within that period of time your order will be cancelled and your purchases will be returned to our general inventory.  If you are having any problems paying, please feel free to ring us on 919.933.6061 or email us at sales@wootini.com and we will take your order over the phone.

 

  • Shipping – We offer a variety of shipping methods, from basic and cheap to two-day service.  If you’d like your package to get there in 4-7 days, you can choose from USPS First Class, FedEx or UPS.  If you’d like your package to arrive a bit sooner (2-3 days), you can choose from USPS Priority Mail, FedEx or UPS.  When domestic clients choose to use the United States Postal Service, the options of insurance and/or tracking are offered on all First Class deliveries.   When FedEx or UPS is chosen, insurance and tracking are automatically included.  

 

International

 

 

  • Payment – Since you are living outside of the United States, when you checkout you will not be allowed to pay – instead you will be sent an email with your total.  This total will be calculated by taking the weight of your order and figuring out the amount of money it will cost to ship it to you, thus saving you from being overcharged.  After you receive your total via email, you have the following payment options: Paypal or International Money Order.  For Paypal, please go to www.paypal.com and proceed to your account.  You will be paying sales@wootini.com. For International Money Orders, please make them out to “Wootini” and send them to 1818 Airport Road #350, Chapel Hill, NC 27514 USA.  Because of the limited nature of our artists’ works, we can only hold the items from your purchase for two weeks.  If we do not receive the money order within that period of time your order will be cancelled and your purchases will be returned to our general inventory.  If you are having any problems ordering, please feel free to ring us on 001.919.933.6061 or email us at sales@wootini.com and we will take your order over the phone/through email.

 

  • Shipping - We offer a variety of shipping methods, from “slow boat from America” to four-day service.  If you’d like your package to arrive a bit slower and cheaper (in 7-10 days), you can choose from USPS First Class Mail, FedEx or UPS.  If you’d like your package to get there in 4-7 days, you can choose from USPS Priority Class, FedEx or UPS.  When FedEx or UPS is chosen, insurance and tracking are automatically included.  All merchandise will be declared at full value; it may be subject to customs and import duty taxes.  Wootini is not responsible for any additional government-imposed fees. 

Return and Exchange Policy

 

Wootini works really hard to bring our clientele the most exciting art toys and accessories on the planet.  We travel, speak with artists, manufacturers and distributors, listen to our clients’ suggestions and attend conventions – all for you!  The pieces that we offer are all made in very limited edition and, just like an artist’s print, vary slightly with each piece made.  These slight imperfections add to the value and unique character of the piece that you own. 

 

Because the works we carry are so hard to find, and sometimes expensive and difficult to bring in to the United States, we cannot accept any merchandise for an exchange or return.

That being said, we are HAPPY to work with any client that finds that the piece they have received is visibly damaged.  Since we inspect all items before shipping them, we hope that this will be a very rare occurrence.

 

  • If you open your package and discover that your purchase is broken and/or has missing parts, please contact us immediately:  phone us on 919.933.6061 or email us at sales@wootini.com.  You have 5 (five) days after you receive your purchase in the mail to contact us regarding any problems you have.

 

  • When you contact us, we will give you an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number.  Please put this number on the outside of the box when you return it to us.  Any merchandise we receive without an RMA number will not be exchanged.  The staff member you work with will also give you all of the information you need to send your purchase back to us, at no cost to you.

 

  •  When packing your purchase for return, please use the shipping box and packing materials it came in.  This will prevent any further damage to your purchase.  If your purchase was in packaging with a plastic window, the box must still be sealed to qualify for return (ie. the damage would have been noticeable before it was opened).  If your purchase was packaged in a concealed box (no window), it can be opened to qualify for return (ie. there would be no way to know if it was damaged without opening it).  When you return an opened purchase (concealed box only), please include all materials that came with your purchase (any inner bags, the item’s packaging, twist ties, etc.).  Any merchandise returned without the original packaging will not be eligible for exchange.

 

  • We will do our best to replace your damaged item as soon as possible.  In the event that the item is out of stock, we will contact you.  We may be able to back order the item, but if we cannot, we will work with you to give you store credit.
